On this notable day, Distinguished Senator Shehu Sani, CON, visited the Mamman Vatsa Writers’ Village to inaugurate the groundbreaking of his proposed relaxation park project dedicated to the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).
Upon his arrival, Senator Sani was warmly received by Dame Joan Oji, PhD, the General Secretary of the Association, who was present on behalf of the NEC members. The Secretariat staff were also in attendance. The delegation expressed great admiration for Senator Sani’s evident passion for literature and the arts, which clearly fuels his commitment to fostering cultural development through innovative projects.
What stood out most during the visit was the senator’s proactive engagement beyond the initial scope of the relaxation park. He graciously pledged to facilitate the production of historical pictures to be mounted along the fence bordering the park. These visual displays are intended to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the environment and celebrate Nigeria’s rich literary and cultural heritage.
Senator Sani’s generosity and dedication exemplify a genuine love and care for the Association, promising to leave a lasting impact for future generations. His contributions underscore the importance of community support and cultural patronage, fostering an environment where literature and the arts can flourish.
Action pictures from the event are attached for your appreciation.
