ANA SETS UP CONSTITUTION REVIEW COMMITTEE

The National Leadership of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) has set up a three-member committee headed by the National Legal Adviser of the Association, Bentex Torlafia to review its constitution ahead of the association’s 41st International Convention slated to take place from October 26th to October 29th, 2022.

ANA President, Camillus Ukah, through a release issued by the association’s Secretary, Maik Ortserga  on Monday, said that the committee was expected to carry out a comprehensive review of the ANA constitution to bring it up to date with current realities in line with global best practices and to create a transparent atmosphere for literary productivity and leadership succession to thrive without undue misgivings concerning obvious loopholes in the ANA constitution.

The release further said that the committee has till September, 30 to submit their report to ANA President

Other members of the committee are: Martins Ezimano (Secretary) and Dr. Obari Gomba (member).

THE   CONSTITUTION REVIEW COMMITTEE

 

 

In order to create a transparent atmosphere for literary productivity and leadership sucession to thrive without undue misgivings concerning obvious loopholes in the ANA constitution, a Committee has been set up and charged with the responsibility of carrying out a review of the ANA Constitution. 

 

This very important committee is made up of the following distinguished personalities:

 

1. Bentex Torlafia (Chairman)

2. Martins Ezimano (Secretary)

3. Dr. Obari Gomba (member)

 

 

TERMS OF REFERENCE

 

 

The ANA Constitution Review Committee is expected to work in line with the following terms of reference:

 

1.To carry out a comprehensive review of the ANA constitution to bring it up to date with current realities in line with global best practices.

 

 2. The committee has till September, 30 to submit their report to ANA President.

 

Conclusion

 

We believe that  the Committee will complete its work and bring clarity to all issues pertaining to ANA constitution.
